I've borrowed from the excellent Kristie Tamsevicius website and see for yourself the phenomenal growth of home based businesses in the United States.

By the way; you may notice that there's a slight bias towards the ladies, who are the main target for Kristie's website - but the main thrust of the figures are still highly relevant for both sexes (can I say "sex" on a family web site like this?).

Not only is the internet home based business opportunity field one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy, it's also one of the most succesful!

• The total number of home based businesses in the United States surpassed 20 million in 2002, and is expected to grow exponentially according to International Data Corp.
• Newsweek magazine reports that by the year 2005, it’s anticipated that 50% of the households in the United States will be involved in a home-based business!
• About 70% of work from home businesses will still exist after a three-year period, compared to 29% of other ventures, according to the Home-Based Business Institute.
• Entrepreneur magazine estimates that $427 billion is generated each year by home base business owners.

• 89% of households with incomes greater than $80,000 have a home office compared to 14% of those with incomes below $25,000 (Find/SVP)
• A recent IDC survey indicates that the average income for income-generating work from home business opportunity households is $63,000 a year
